Determining the number of moles in a solution

An HCl solution contains 15.0 mol of HCl per liter of solution. How many moles are there in 100mL of this solution?

We must convert the number of milliliters in to liters to do this problem, and end up with the number of moles. To start off, we need to know how many milliliters are in a liter.The conversion factor is as follows:
1000mL= 1 L
HCl=100mL x 1L/ 1000mL x 15.0mol HCl/ 1L= ?
Notice how the labels cancel out nicely to leave us with the number of moles.
The final answer is 1.5moles
